Millions of sharks die a very cruel and inhumane death because of shark finning: the practice of hacking off the shark’s fins and throwing its still living body back into the sea. The sharks either starve to death, are eaten alive by other fish, or drown (if they are not in constant movement their gills cannot extract oxygen from the water). Shark fins are being “harvested” in ever greater numbers to feed the growing demand for shark fin soup, an Asian “delicacy”.
How it affects you: without sharks, our ecosystem is in danger of becoming imbalanced. The fish sharks prey on will overpopulate, eating all the plankton that oxygenates the planet aka how we breath!

This image of a Blacktip Reef Shark was taken in Waikiki, Hawaii.
I shoot images that convey my love for the ocean, conservation, travel, nature, photography, surfing, art and the beauty and goodness this world constantly envelopes us in, to become wearable fine art.
I print, preserve, hand cut and set the image under a domed glass (which I individually inspect for any imperfections) that lightly magnifies the colour and clarity of the image. The piece is allowed to dry overnight before I cut, sand and smooth the paper edges to fit the glass dimensions perfectly. I use a professional grade glaze to assemble the glass dome to the pendant. The final product is allowed to dry before polishing with glass cleaner and placed in a kraft box ready to ship to your door.
*Pendant is measures 3/4" wide x 1.25".
*Does not contain nickel or lead.
*The pendant is moisture resistant due to the glass but is not waterproof. Please remove jewelry before showering, water activities or heavy exercise.
*If you would like to send as a gift to a different address then just send me a note to seller message when paying.
Any image can be used (mine or yours) and custom made to order (message me for further details).
